Life Membership
Life Membership is the highest award that our Club can bestow on any member. To be considered for Life Membership, a nominee, excepting extraordinary circumstances and service, must have rendered distinguished voluntary service to ABSLSC over a period of at least twenty (20) years. For service to be considered as distinguished it must be both a sustained and conspicuous contribution.
For an award to be considered two Club members of Avalon Beach SLSC shall complete an ABSLSC Service Honours Nomination Form detailing a full Club history of the candidate.
Nominations are to be forwarded to the Life Membership and Service Honours Awards Committee at [email protected] and marked confidential. The Committee will review the application, supporting documentation and eligibility of the service and details provided and forward all endorsed nominations to the next AGM for decision.
The Life Membership and Service Honours Awards Committee are also responsible for assessing all nominations for the Distinguished Service Award, Club 20 Year Service Awards and Membership Service Awards. This Committee meets as required but usually prior to the Club’s AGM in July.

Life Guardianship
Life Guardianship may be appointed to persons not holding a Bronze Medallion who have rendered exceptional service to the Club over a period of not less than ten years. The nomination process for Life Guardianship is the same as Life Membership.
