“The Bangalley Bar proved to be the perfect venue for our daughter’s recent engagement party. You couldn’t ask for a more suitable function centre, located in a prime position overlooking Avalon Beach! The venue itself, with its simple, modern decor lent itself to a relaxed, casual and beautiful day. Apart from the fantastic location, an advantage of this function room was it gave us the option to self-cater or provide our own caterers. We chose to self-cater on this occasion and found the kitchen set-up with oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and basic crockery adequate for the large number of guests. The bar staff are members of Avalon Surf Life-Saving Club and the large range of drinks offered on the bar menu was very impressive. The Club Administrator, Leanne was my point of contact in the planning stages and on the day itself and was particularly helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate in recommending Bangalley Bar. It is a wonderful venue for any occasion.”
“We thought the event overall was really great! It all went very smoothly and without incident, largely due to the tireless efforts and work ethic of your Bar Staff Mel and Ashley. They were really great, definitely went out of their way to ensure that everything was well organized and executed. All other aspects of the event from the set up to the movement of furniture etc were first rate. From the set up, the support from the onsite restaurant, Avalon on the Beach, right through to the pack up, cleaning etc….all great!
Just wanted to write a few words in appreciation following my 50th last Saturday. Everyone as they arrived had a look of WOW and amazement as they walked into the room. I think a lot of people have a certain expectation when attending a function at a surf club, Avalon Beach SLSC certainly changed that view. I had the beautiful Sam from Faux Flowers style the room, which added to the warmth and personal feel of the venue, with flowers, cushions and table decorations. It helped that the weather was glorious, so the indoor/outdoor use of the room was maximised. There was no wind, only beautiful sunshine, and massive surf for the boys to watch as they enjoyed the afternoon. The catering by Manar from Sundweesh was just fantastic. We had a long wonderland table for guests to nibble from the entire afternoon, plus a pop up stand with middle eastern flatbread wraps for lunch. The bar staff were casual and happy as was the Caretaker who popped by early to make sure everything was in order. At the end, I basically just walked out! I left the keys with Sam, who was taking down her decorations, the bar staff closed up and I didn’t need to worry about anything. Can’t thank you enough. I had the best time, after all my reservations about hosting a party for myself!
“Redfield College have coordinated seminars for over 15 years at different locations for our Year 11 and 12 students. For a change we thought the Ocean Room at Avalon Beach SLSC would be a good venue based on the photos on their website. Our experience was first rate. Leanne was super helpful and the room had amazing views of the beach with a spacious room and balcony for lunch. It was great value for money and we will certainly be rebooking for next year.” – Redfield College
